Oregon has marijuana licenses organized according to the types of marijuana businesses applicants may wish to operate in the state. These licenses are awarded by the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission. The license types are as follows:
This license is issued to businesses intending to cultivate marijuana plants indoors. Micro Tier I - Indoor Producer License holders may grow marijuana in indoor areas measuring up to 625 square feet.
The Micro Tier II - Indoor Producer License is issued to cannabis producers authorized to grow marijuana in indoor areas measuring between 626 and 1,250 square feet indoors.
This license is issued to cannabis producers authorized to grow marijuana in indoor areas measuring between 1,251 and 5,000 square feet.
The Tier II - Indoor Producer License authorizes the holder to cultivate marijuana plants in indoor areas ranging in size between 5,001 and 10,000 square feet.
Oregon issues Micro Tier I - Outdoor Producer License to applicants for marijuana cultivation businesses who cultivate outdoors. The Micro Tier I - Outdoor Producer License allows a producer to cultivate up to 2,500 square feet of mature plant canopy size of marijuana.
This license is issued to marijuana business operators in the state who cultivate between 2,501 and 5,000 square feet of mature plant canopy size of marijuana outdoors.
This license is issued to applicants intending to cultivate marijuana outdoors in plots measuring between 5,001 and 20,000 square feet.
Oregon issues this license to businesses intending to cultivate marijuana in outdoor areas measuring between 20,001 and 40,000 square feet.
This license allows a cannabis business operating in Oregon to cultivate marijuana plants both indoors and outdoors. The license permits up to a 4:1 split of outdoor and indoor cultivation areas dedicated to growing marijuana.
This license is issued to marijuana growers producing cannabis designated for medical marijuana dispensaries for approved patients and their primary caregivers.
This license is issued to laboratories in Oregon that seek to test marijuana and marijuana products.
This license is issued to marijuana business operators that process marijuana into various forms for consumption.
The Marijuana Processor Medical Purpose License is issued to marijuana processor license holders who also wish to sell marijuana for medical purposes. The license permits a holder to make, and sell medical-grade cannabinoid products to other licensed processors, wholesalers, and retailers.
This license permits a registered marijuana processor in Oregon to be able to share their establishment with other licensed edible, topical, or concentrate processors in the state.
